Abstract

The highly toxic nature of arsenic has increased the importance of reliable determination of this element in biological and environmental samples. Electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry (ETAAS) and hydride generation atomic absorption spectrometry (HGAAS) are the most powerful and well-established techniques for these determinations. In the present article, both the AAS techniques are reviewed.
